Ingoa o te Kaupapa
The toolbar
The toolbar is displayed at the top of the text box and is used for editing the font and layout of the text content. The toolbar provides a number of options that can be applied to the text within the text box.
It includes (from left to right) the ability to:
• Make text display in bold.
• Make text display in italics.
• Make text display with an underline.
• Change the text colour.
• Change the text font.
• Change the alignment of the font.
• Format the text into a list or in a table.
• Add a link to another web page / website.
The Toolbar
To use the toolbar, highlight the text you wish to change in the text box and select the option from the toolbar. For example, to change the font to Arial and make the text bold for a given sentence, you would do the following:
1. Highlight the sentence you want to change.
2. From the “Font” option in the tool bar select Arial. This will place <font> </font> HTML tags around the sentence (which tells the web browser to change fonts).
3. Highlight the sentence again
4. Select the “Bold” option. This will place <b> </b> HTML tags around the sentence (which tells the web browser to make the text bold).
Note: The toolbar above will not be present when using Netscape. To format text in this situation, HTML tags need to be added manually. (refer to “HTML References” for links to documentation on HTML. or to the “hints “for some basic notes on HTML code for fonts.)
